Nutrition Consultations

Nutritionist Initial Consultation

60 mins · $150

Your initial consultation is a deep‑dive into your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and nutritional patterns. Before your appointment, you’ll complete a comprehensive health questionnaire so your practitioner can begin assessing key body systems, dietary habits, and potential nutrient gaps.

During your session, you’ll explore your health concerns, discuss contributing factors, and gain clarity around the root causes of your symptoms. Your practitioner will then develop a personalised, evidence‑based treatment plan designed to support your goals — including nutrition guidance, lifestyle recommendations, and supplement suggestions where appropriate.

Ideal for: anyone wanting clarity, direction, and a personalised roadmap for improving their health.

30 mins · $80

Follow‑up consultations are designed to review your progress, assess changes in symptoms, and refine your treatment plan as your health evolves. Your practitioner will evaluate what’s working, identify any barriers, and adjust your nutrition, lifestyle, or supplement recommendations to keep you moving toward your goals.

These sessions provide accountability, education, and ongoing support — ensuring your plan stays aligned with your body’s needs. Follow‑ups are recommended within three months of your initial consultation to maintain continuity and momentum.

Ideal for: clients wanting structured, ongoing support and measurable progress.

60 mins · $150

This specialised consultation is designed for individuals considering bariatric surgery or preparing for an upcoming procedure. Your practitioner will guide you through the different types of bariatric surgeries, expected nutritional changes, and the long‑term dietary requirements associated with each option.

You’ll gain clarity on nutrient needs, supplementation protocols, potential deficiencies, and the lifestyle adjustments required for safe, sustainable results. A brief health assessment is included to identify any risks or areas that may need support prior to surgery.

This session empowers you with the knowledge needed to make an informed decision and prepares your body for optimal recovery and long‑term success.

Ideal for: anyone exploring bariatric surgery or wanting to understand the nutritional implications before committing.

Bariatric Nutrition Support From Someone Who Gets It

Erica brings something most nutrition practitioners can’t — genuine lived experience. With a career that began in personal care and progressed to Registered Nursing commencing 2008, she has spent over a decade supporting people through some of the most vulnerable moments of their health journey.

She later expanded her clinical foundation with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine), completed in 2023, allowing her to bridge medical, nutritional, and lifestyle‑based care with ease.

Erica has also personally navigated bariatric surgery, giving her a depth of understanding that can’t be taught in a classroom. This practice was built around the care she once needed — and that combination of frontline clinical training, evidence‑based nutrition, and lived experience is what makes her support truly different.

Optimising gut health and nutrient levels before your procedure so your body is in the best possible position going in — while also understanding the long‑term challenges and goals needed for optimal health.

Understanding exactly what to eat and expect at each stage, with calm, evidence-based guidance rather than overwhelm

Building sustainable habits that reduce deficiency risk, support long‑term health outcomes, and integrate seamlessly into your lifestyle.

What to Expect From a Nutrition Consultation

Do I need a referral?

No referral needed. You can book a consultation directly online, at any time. If you have recent test results, pathology reports or letters from your GP or specialist, it’s worth bringing those along they help build a fuller picture of your health. But they’re not a requirement to get started.

Clinical nutritionists are not currently covered under Medicare. However, as an AAPRN-registered practitioner, you may be eligible for a private health fund rebate depending on your level of extras cover. It’s worth checking with your provider before booking — many clients are pleasantly surprised. If you’d like to know which funds are listed, feel free to get in touch before your appointment.

Both work in nutrition, but the pathways are different. Dietitians complete an accredited university degree in dietetics and are registered with Dietitians Australia. Clinical nutritionists, like Erica, hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine and are registered with a professional body such as AARPN. The approach here is holistic and evidence-based — looking at your whole health picture, not just what’s on your plate.

That’s exactly who this practice is designed for. Many clients come with overlapping health concerns — whether that’s bariatric surgery alongside gut issues, chronic illness combined with hormonal changes, or hypermobility with mast cell disorder.

The initial consultation is structured to assess the whole picture if you want to explore everything together — or we can focus on only the conditions you feel are most relevant right now. If there are areas you prefer not to dive into, they can simply be noted and considered without becoming the centre of your care plan.

And if your situation calls for a different appointment type or an additional session, that will always be discussed openly and honestly with you.

Yes — and for most people, they’re actually easier. All consultations are available via Telehealth, which means you can access clinical nutrition support from anywhere in Australia without the commute, the waiting room or the juggle. The process is exactly the same: a thorough assessment, personalised recommendations and a treatment plan tailored to your life. You’ll just be doing it from your couch.
